I opened the back of the car and a big gust of wind simultaneously blew a bag out that held a glass jar and swept my shopping cart away. I grabbed the cart. The glass bottle fell and broke all over the parking lot.
I uttered some sadness about the break.
Ethan said, "Is everything alright?"
I said, "No the bottle broke."
Ethan said, "Well, it's not the end of the world."
Nothing like putting your thoughts back in perspective.
Coincidentally, he's been asking me what happens at the END of the WORLD.
Any clue how to explain that to a 5 year old?

Way to go Ethan. And no, I have no idea how to explain the end of the world - to him or anyone else.
I think a lot of jars will be breaking when it is the end of the world.
Ethan is adorable.
