I was surprised when I saw on my sister's zoo pics on her blog that they added some more to that gorilla sign. I wonder when they did that. I don't remember it being there when we went last.
Oh yeah on the wild animals. While we were there Tim was talking to a zookeeper about all the baby animals. (A snow leopard, a African house cat (not sure what it is but it looked like regular kitty) the elephant etc.) She mentioned that there were MORE baby animals but she couldn't talk about them yet. When he told me I said, well that's not very nice. Then I looked up and saw her standing there. LOL Anyway we found out what she was talking about today. New baby Amur (Siberian) tiger cubs born in June and now on display: https://www.hoglezoo.org/about/news_media/press_releases/08-25-2009/tiny-tiger-trio-makes-public-debut-today-at-hogle-zoo
We will definitely have to go back to see those cuties.

Love the photos! Oh, and thanks so much for giving me my much-needed fix!

Marni--i was surprised too. And a little sad. That has been our 'growth' chart for many years. Always have to take a picture in front of the gorilla.
great photos - looks like you had a bunch of "wild animals" with ya :)
