I had to parallel park today...

AND I ROCKED IT!

Too bad there was no one there to see me.

And in other random news...How does the creator of this adorable comic strip have the uncanny knack of nailing my life situations?

3 Spoons

1 Bowl (with melted at least 3 day old ice cream inside)

Holy Cow...they must be burying some of these because I only noticed the knives. They are talented! (And no, I did not put any of that out there.) :)

Even though I have FORBIDDEN the kids to take my silverware outside, I'm slowly losing spoons.

Funny, I've never found any kitchen items outside. We can't get together anymore so my kids don't get ideas from yours. :)

I could have parallel parked Wednesday but I pulled in straight instead. It's just too scary.

Hee-hee. I'm pretty sure my mom always complained about the same problem. But hey, at least you have access to lots more kitchen gadgets/ tools :)

Oh, and hey - congrats on the parallel parking thing. I always feel like I should get an award or something when I happen to do it right with my first attempt, instead of the usual 2-4 times.

I've never parallel parked, and I don't ever plan on doing it. GOOD JOB, though!

Thank you for the paralell parking accolades. Nothing like patting myself on the back. :)

Sharon-Glad to hear your mother lived through your outside cooking adventures.

Marni-what do your children actually use items for what they are intended???? It's a shame they can't play anymore, they were very well liked. :D

Brenda-more spoons where they came from.

Jana & Emily--thanks for commenting. :)

To all- yes I'm in a weird mood today.

You've got me thinking. We've bought sand buckets/shovels in the past that end up cracking and breaking within the first year of use. What's the use? I've been trying to think of some "real" items that would be more fun. Measuring cups are good shovels. I've got some extra mixing bowls they could use as buckets. It would be funny to show up to park day with other moms from the ward with all that. :)

Shhh Marni's kids are learning in the sand box! Good job Marni. :) I think taking mixing bowls and measuring cups to the park will be a big hit.
