Your sweet, feisty, cute, devious, kind, mischievous 5 yr old daughter comes up to you and says:
'Mom'
'Yes?'
'I just wanted to come up here and say.....I love you.'
Would you smile sweetly and say I love you too, or would you run screaming to the backyard from whence she came to see what happened?

Definitely depends on how she said it. I can see if both ways. But you made me nervous for you. ???
It may have had something to do with the 100+ nails, screws washers and other assorted small hardware items that were spread all around. I'm not sure...maybe she really does just love me.
I'd give a quick hug and then run to check out the damage.
Depends on the child and how they said it.
She is a smart kid. Didn't the I love you, soften it a little when you saw all the stuff spread around?
I'm with Brenda - say I love you and THEN run screaming to the backyard :)
Well, I DID tell her I loved her...then I DIDN'T go check right away. It was too much to deal with at that moment so I found the special clean up moment much later. She still had to clean it up. And I'm sure she had an accomplice.
i think so to mom!
